Non stinging lubricant? Back To Topics
Posted on 24 Dec 2007 :

I read the information for each lubricant on this website and I am not sure which on to buy.
I am in post menopausal and need to use lubrication during sex in order to avoid pain. I believe the ingredients sting my dry skin. I know I need to avoid anything with alcohol or similar. I am in a monogamous relationship and don't need to worry about birth control.
Any recommendations?

Hi  Firstly I would need to ask you to go to your doctor to check out why you get the stinging as I think you may have an infection.  Secondly although the lubricants are good  your doctor may be able to prescribe some oestrogen cream or tablet that will help with post menopausal dryness.  Thirdly I recommend the SYLK lubricant as this is totally natural and without chemicals.  Trial and error with any of our lubricants will be OK.  Do a little test patch .  Good luck
